The following planes have been decomisiones either by natural death or have been crashed one time to many.

I still think that they deserve a place in this web page, becuse they serve me rigth and gave me lots of fun.

Easy 2 Float Plane

This Easy 2 plane from Hangar 9 was a trainer for land landings, after having trouble finding a place to fly around this island I decided to conveted into a sea plane, there is a lot of water around the island some rough some calm, anyway below are some pictures of the conversion process.

The plane had a .46 engine from OS on it, with a 10 x 6 prop, it takes off with no wind in about 50 meters an gets aloft very slowly but surely. It flys heavy, the floats are very heavy, I put to many coatings of paint and epoxy on them to make them water tight. It is a crowd pleaser, specially when flown on the main beach.

This plane was decomissioned August 2000, after a a crash into some trees, after fixing the tail it flys as a belly landing practice plane, is used for flying anytime anyware, dont care what happens when flying. The floats are now on the Superstar 60.

The Hobbico Starfire was my first low wing plane highly acrobatic and very fast, with the OS SF .46 engine, it lasted for about 3 years before it met a 55 gallon drum, at the shipping docks on the island, a case of mistaken servo inversion.

THIS IS A

I also had a Dirty Birdie made of fiberglass who its previous owner ised for acrobatic competition for many years before giving it to me and now is in the hands of Jonathan Manopla, a young flyer i met in Barranquilla, and an excellent builder for his age.(the picture is from UK plane did not have any of mine).
